As we entered the electric vehicle staging area at the St. Louis 2012 Earth Day Festival – these two Segways were riding around. One of the vehicle owners gave me the name of one Segway rider. I can’t recall that name and I’m not sure if I spoke with them.
I don’t come across Segways often. But when I do they stand out and attract a crowd. I’ve still not gotten a chance to ride one – then again I’m close to the max weight limit.
I’m thinking – everyone within this area were members of the Gateway Electric Vehicle Club. A few years ago myself and girlfriend attended an event at Schlafly’s Tap Room for the Tesla Roadster Road Trip 2010. That gathering was organized by the Gateway Electric Vehicle Club.
