Occasionally Amtrak Lincoln Service takes the long way into or out of St Louis. When this train travels that route you ride through a very industrialized area. A good portion of which is in a state of decay. One large facility looked to be getting dismantled for scrap last time I rode through there.
Towards the middle of this video you will see a large facility called Amsted Rail. I’m thinking this industrial complex may be or includes American Steel Foundries. Unfortunately there was an explosion yesterday at this plant in Granite City Illinois. At least 10 workers were injured – 2 reported as critically.

From what I’m reading Amsted Rail is a division of Amsted Industries. So the facility in my video – very well could be the location of this industrial accident.
