This to me doesn't seem like the wisest business move. Then again here lately Sony has been doing some really stupid things as a company. If I paid what you have to pay to buy an AIBO. Then found out Sony was no longer going to develop new software or hardware to support my purchase. I'd be just a little upset. At one time there was a very strong Sony AIBO hacker community. I think at the time Sony frowned upon this. Many companies unfortunately take this stand instead of working with the community to strength the product and brand name.
