I took this picture of Pinkies in Kewanee Illinois while riding Amtrak last year. There isn’t a lot of information in regards to the restaurant online. From the looks of the building and the sign out front I’m assuming it’s no longer open for business. Since I took this photo from inside an Amtrak train the quality isn’t great when you zoom in. But I think the sign says to Come Visit Kewanee’s Red Apple Restaurant. There is no mention of Pinkies on the Red Apple website. The Kewanee Star Courier online didn’t offer me any help in regards to Pinkies history.

Mary is a licensed Practical Nurse. She practiced nursing until 1996, when she became partners with her husband, Mother and Father in purchasing Pinkies 34 Stop, Restaurant in Kewanee, Illinois. Mary and her husband Steve live in Rural Cambridge, Illinois. They have one daughter between them, Katherine Ann Dalton Menard.
Pinkies was sold and Mary became Director of Village Estates, an Adult community living facilities.
