I have had my Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooling System up and running for a couple of days now. Everything seems to be running as it should. The building process for my first liquid cooling adventure didn’t go as smoothly as I would have liked. However the basics of setting up the Thermaltake ProWater 850i are fairly simple. If you have built a computer you should be able to setup this water cooling kit as long as you take your time. My thought is that the build would have gone a bit smoother for me if I had a modular power supply, a tube cutter and had taken a bit more time thinking about the overall layout of the tubes.

There are videos and advice all over the Internet in regards to the best way to drain a liquid cooling system. In my opinion not one of these I’ve seen offers a safe and easy method to drain your liquid cooled computer. Last week I was needing to drain the fluid from my new liquid cooling setup. A few weeks before I had started to look at my options in regards to completing this task. Some systems have a drain setup. Mine isn’t one of those. In the end I came across a $45 solution that is quick and easy.

My question is fairly simple. But I bet finding the answer using search engines would be a frustrating experience. I know because I have tried that resource already. Here is what I need to know. Can a Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooling system support two AquaBay M4 Hard Drive Waterblocks? I think the ProWater 850i would most likely handle one AquaBay M4 Hard Drive Waterblock. I’m wondering if two would put to much of a strain on the pump? Will the radiator be able to cool that much hot fluid flowing into it?

I found out yesterday that my easy way to drain a liquid / water cooling system doesn’t work well for a Thermaltake SR200 Liquid Reservoir. Of course my hand pump will drain the reservoir itself quickly and easily. But with the Thermaltake SR200 the design of the reservoir stops the suction. This means you can’t get the rest of the liquid in the loop to travel to the reservoir. With the Thermaltake ProWater 850i this wasn’t a problem. The hand pump could suck almost all but a very small amount of liquid from the loop.
