Is the Xbox 360 overheating do to a faulty power cord

It seems that a fix has been reported for the overheating issue that some Xbox 360 owners have encountered with their new hardware. Lifting the power cord off the ground so it gets better ventilation stops it from getting hot enough to cause the Xbox 360 to not properly work. If this is found to be the reason for the crash problem. I think we can safely say that once again Microsoft has allowed a faulty power supply to be released with it's Xbox hardware. Many of you are aware that this was an issue with the original Xbox unit and there was a nationwide recall. The faulty power supplies for the original Xbox were replaced.
