St Louis Brown Bag Lunch Presentation Midwest High Speed Rail Association

Unfortunately even though I’m very interested in attending this event I won’t be. Finances at this time are tight. I could use Amtrak Rewards to provide me with tickets down to St. Louis. But then I’d have cab fare etc to cover. Honestly the location of this presentation is just down the road from where I like to stay when I visit St. Louis.

I did make a visit to our local Amtrak station to pickup tickets for upcoming travel last night. But that travel date is a ways off. I just received a heads-up email about this event late last week. If I remember correctly the one and only time I took Amtrak down to St. Louis during the week it would get into the station to late for me to attend this meeting.

Union Pacific tracks from St. Louis to Springfield Illinois have been upgraded. Before the holidays the tracks outside of Springfield heading towards Bloomington were in the process of being upgraded as part of the project linked above.

During my last visit to Joliet workers were doing outside improvements to the Amtrak commuter rail station.

Unfortunately Amtrak hasn’t seen value in having an affiliate program for online properties to promote their product.
