Reading this you would get the feeling that this has to be an internet hoax. That the story has to be made up and that nothing like this could ever happen. If it is an online hoax then many news agencies have fallen for it. I don't like that many of the news sites are calling this a hoax. This is more of a criminal act or a prank gone way to far. A hoax to me is something that isn't true. Unfortunately this story looks to be very true. I have to wonder how safe this neighborhood is to live in. Considering none of the neighbors thought it might be worth calling the police. I'd tend to wonder what was going on if tons of people just showed up and started taking things out of a home in my neighborhood. Especially when you could tell they were starting to dismantle the home piece by piece.

Raye recently had evicted family members living in the rental and cleaned it out. She placed several furniture pieces in the front yard for disposal.
Neighbors said they heard cars coming and going as people hauled away items from the yard and home.
Even the front door and a vinyl window were pilfered, Raye said.
“In the ad, it said come and take what you want. Everything is free,” she said. “Please help yourself to anything on the property.”
