Website in a transition stage

Those of you visiting this site today might be wondering what is going on. Honestly this latest transformation wasn’t planned. Which I’m sure is readily apparent to many of you. The author of the last WordPress theme I used pissed me off. So I decided it was time for a change. Why promote and use a theme from an arrogant, self centered, and downright unhelpful theme author? Truthfully my replacement choice is giving me a migraine right now.

I’m going with less is more for many reasons. One major reason is to hopefully improve load times. The second is to show more content on the main page at one time. My third reason is I’m honestly tired of cluttered websites that make me hunt for everything and put all kinds of crap in the way of articles.

It may or may not have been time for a change around here. At this point I’m not reversing my decision. I’ll bang my head against a wall trying to get things back to the way I want them. Right now I have title problems – which was the one key reason I got rid of the last theme I used. Header and footer content is not being displayed properly at this time. I’ll work on getting that straightened out later today. That archive link above is annoying as all get out. I’ve not been able to get rid of it after messing with various settings.

Once I get the problems mentioned above figured out – I think I’ll be happy with the new look and feel. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the Follow Me & Google Translation plugins up and running again in the next few days. I just axed the footer “content”. Still need to figure out how to get what I want placed at the bottom.

Odd – looks like when I killed the footer – it took away my tweet buttons. One more thing to track down and work on.
