This video was taken across the street from Lauterbach Tire & Auto Service. I recorded the Lauterbach Lumberjack Muffler Man from the Steak ‘n Shake parking lot. The Steak ‘n Shake is not the original building at that location when the Lauterbach Lumberjack lost his head in the March 2006 tornado. Unfortunately my 2006 article with that photo isn’t working properly. After a few server moves I still haven’t gotten back to fixing it.
These photos of a headless Lauterbach Lumberjack were taken after the March 12 2006 tornado(s). They were taken with a very lowend digital camera. The photo with the head on was taken August 5 2006. Steak ‘n Shake construction photos were taken on August 5th and 14th 2006. This shows the old building location and an empty lot where the new one was being constructed.
