Hotel Virginia Antiques Emporia Virginia

This picture was taken out an Amtrak train window on my way home from Florida earlier this year. I was only able to find limited information about this location in Emporia, Virginia. From what I gather this used to be the Hotel Virginia that has now been turned into an antiques store. Mural that you see has been restored.

  1. Iggy,

What a great picture! You need to come back and take another, we have finally taken the paper off the windows. We opened Friday, November 23, 2007. Yes, we are in the process of restoring the 1904 Historic Railroad Hotel, the first floor in 4000 sq ft of European Antique Furniture, Collectibles and Unique Accessories. Eventually we will live on the upper floors. At the moment we are getting ready to rehab the building to the right of the hotel, and hope to have a 2nd Antique Store open by Summer ’08. Please stop in if you are ever in the area.
