This photo was taken from our room balcony at the Edgewater Hotel this year. Right next door to the Edgewater Hotel is the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal Pier 66. This is were you will find passengers boarding many different cruise lines in Seattle. Several other terminals for cruise passengers exist further down the road. The Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal handles passengers for Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises. This is Norwegian Cruise Line’s ( NCL ) ship Norwegian Pearl.
I have many photos of this ship and others that came into port during our week stay at the Edgewater. This is the only time I saw anyone cleaning the windows though. In the past I’ve seen many different operations taking place to get the ships seaworthy. However this is the first time I had ever seen the windows being done. From the Bell Harbor Conference Center where Gnomedex is held in Seattle you can see all the work it takes to get a cruise ship up and running. There is a large deck area with seating where you can sit and have lunch. The cruise ships are right in front of you when they are in port. You are able to wave at anyone who is on ship.
