Our Garmin GPS was a little late on alerting us to turn into the Tesla Motors St Louis store. So we had to drive down the street a bit to turn around. As we sat at a light this Model S pulled up to the light on the road we had just turned off of.
This of course meant that our visit to the store was on hold and the chase began. It took what seemed like ages for our light to turn green . I was sure we wouldn’t be able to catch up to the Model S. In the end we did.
At first I thought this was just a family driving home from a visit to the Tesla Motors St Louis service center. After our visit to the store – I’m thinking it was actually a test drive.
You can see the rear child seats in action. Video quality suffered – even with the monopod in use. Roads were bumpy and I was focused on keeping an eye on the car instead of the viewfinder.
I tried giving a thumbs up to the occupants a few times – no response – seemed like they could care less. Unfortunately it would seem many electric car owners just don’t get that they are part of a trend and that there are many passionate enthusiast.
In the second part of the video you can see what I’m assuming is the same Model S pulling out from the front of the Tesla Motors store. I guess dealer plates look different in Missouri. That was the reason I originally didn’t think this was a test drive.
Disclaimer – I am a very minor Tesla Motors stock owner. Unfortunately I didn’t have near the amount of money I wanted to invest in this company. But I do own a few shares.
