This Tesla Model S P85D All Wheel Drive (AWD) has made several appearances at Springfield Illinois Tesla Superchargers. The night I recorded it I didn’t think much of sticker in driver side passenger window. Many electric cars have QR Code stickers for people to use for further information on their cars. Although it did look like a business card when I recorded it. Tried to get close and focus in on it. As video clearly shows that attempt failed.
My guess would be this could be a Tesla St Louis demonstration model that is brought to Springfield as a promotional tool. Last weekend car was not there – but last night it was possibly seen leaving this location. Scheels where Tesla Superchargers are located is a high traffic area – so it would make sense to have a car on display there.
Tesla Model S shown is top of line and can do 0-60 in 3.1 seconds.
Links to my videos from Tesla Chicago, Indianapolis and St Louis are provided towards bottom of article. You can also find video of Springfield Illinois Superchargers being built and owners gathering to celebrate opening. I have more St Louis and Washington DC videos that haven’t gone live yet.
Fact to remember – Tesla Motors manufacturers it’s cars in USA. In next few years batteries will be made in Nevada.
Disclaimer – I am a very minor Tesla Motors stock owner. Unfortunately I didn’t have near the amount of money I wanted to invest in this company. But I do own a few shares.
