Here is the 2014 National Train Day Open Ceremony at Union Station St Louis. I thought they would have presentation closer to water – where there was more room and a performance area. Instead event coordinators decided to have speeches take place in a cramped area by trains. From perspective of being closer to rail equipment – this makes sense. Rather illogical choice if you wanted a large group of people to be able to see the speakers.
Because I had no idea where event was taking place – I had a horrible spot to record from. I also had a very hard time locating those speaking in my video camera viewfinder. So overall video quality isn’t great.
Amtrak Midwest Senior Director – National State Relations Ray Lang is featured towards end of video. I have heard him speak at two other presentations. He is featured in another video of mine from Midwest High Speed Rail Association 2014 Annual Spring Meeting at the Crowne Plaza Metro Chicago Illinois.
