As we were about to pull into Four Seasons hotel – I noticed a train on tracks a block ahead. Last minute I realized it was the St Louis Polar Express. I didn’t have much time to get out of car and record.
Some passengers were nice and waved as I recorded Polar Express leaving “North Pole” heading back to Union Station.
Middle of recording was shot from 9th floor room at Four Seasons. It’s not great quality do to being zoomed in and low light.
Last part shows what St Louis’ version of North Pole looks like during day. It was misting rain when I was recording.
Unfortunately for time we wanted – First Class on the Polar Express was Sold Out night after I shot parts of this video. So we didn’t experience Polar Express as passengers. Although several people we know did ride that night.
See a few rail cars that served Polar Express passengers and Union Station St Louis train barn Polar Express departs from in several of my recordings below.
See North Pole 6 miles away sign at night – recorded October 1st 2015.
Recorded near railroad tracks Polar Express was using.
