I walked to Times Square from New York Penn Station. It felt like a much longer walk than it looks on a map.
By the time I got to this location I was hot, miserable and in a bit of pain. Weather was warm with a slight breeze. But I felt like I had sat in a sauna.
When I got back to Amtrak Club Acela inside Penn Station – I was soaked in sweat.
This was my 2nd time in New York. In 2014 I took same trip on Acela – only difference is – this time I rode First Class. I also got into town early enough to explore a bit. My previous visit was my first – but it was late at night and I didn’t have a lot of time to venture out of station before train back to Washington DC.
