Urbana National Drive Electric Week Event 2017

I rode Amtrak to Champaign–Urbana Illinois to attend 2017 National Drive Electric Week Event. Unfortunately past few years – Normal hasn’t held Drive Electric Week gathering. Normal Illinois does hold an event at Wesleyan University Shirk Center earlier in year. St Louis has an electric car exhibition at James S. McDonnell Planetarium on a Sunday of Drive Electric Week.

This was my first time attending in Urbana. I was surprised to see a Chevy BOLT in wild. Figured it would be awhile before I came across one. Owners had just taken possession about a month ago.

Electric cars shown – Tesla Model X and S, Chevrolet / Chevy BOLT & VOLT, Nissan LEAF, Cadillac ELR, Ford Focus Electric, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, BMW i-3, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, Volkswagen e-Golf, Ford C-Max Hybrid and MERCURY 2017 built / designed by Illini Formula Electric.

Could have sworn I recorded Ford Focus Electric. Not seeing it when skimming video. Must have only taken photos of it.
