This picture was taken from the street corner that leads to the Bellagio hotel and casino. There really should be a pedestrian bridge at this location. The closest one is a very long block down the road that leads to Bally’s. You can reach Paris & Bally’s from the Las Vegas Monorail. This of course would give you access to Planet Hollywood and all the other casinos in that area. That is if you can find your way out of Paris. When exiting the Monorail at this location you should always leave through Bally’s. It’s much easier to find your way to the strip.
Planet Hollywood has a long history in Las Vegas. The casino and hotel was previously known as The Aladdin. I’m sure many people will remember that casino from years ago. As I’ve mentioned previously most people would tell you the picture above was taken in Las Vegas. When in fact it’s actually Paradise, Nevada. I didn’t play at any of the casinos on this part of the Las Vegas Strip. My action was mostly a few miles down the road at MGM properties. Originally I was booked to stay at the Sahara. But I promptly checked out of there once I saw how trashy their rooms were. My seven day stay had me at the Excalibur.
I did a walk through of Planet Hollywood the night I took this picture. Some people might remember seeing this casino being featured in the movie 21. In the photo above you see Paris, Miracle Mile Shops & Planet Hollywood. Trader Vic’s is there as well. That is a store many in my area have been begging to have open here. Across the street from Planet Hollywood you will find the new MGM CityCenter project as well as the world famous Bellagio with it’s fountains.
