I took this picture of Pinkies in Kewanee Illinois while riding Amtrak last year. There isn’t a lot of information in regards to the restaurant online. From the looks of the building and the sign out front I’m assuming it’s no longer open for business. Since I took this photo from inside an Amtrak train the quality isn’t great when you zoom in. But I think the sign says to Come Visit Kewanee’s Red Apple Restaurant. There is no mention of Pinkies on the Red Apple website. The Kewanee Star Courier online didn’t offer me any help in regards to Pinkies history.
This PDF file is the only document I could find that offered some history in regards to Pinkies 34 Stop ( a PDF file will open when you click this )
