The picture quality is horrible. We’ve really needed a newer television for some time now. I was watching a biography on Richard Pryor last night when I came across this. They were discussing his show at The Aladdin casino ( now Planet Hollywood ). Anyone who has visited the Las Vegas Strip over the years will notice most of what is pictured is long gone. The Monte Carlo is still there. You can see New York New York in the background – which is still in operation. Both of those properties are owned by MGM. A few weeks ago I was guest at the Monte Carlo Las Vegas for 8 days.
The 76 gas station and Holiday Inn are now parts of City Center and the Bellagio hotel casino. Las Vegas has always been a city constantly reinventing itself. It’s interesting how very few people ever seem to report about the decay that is all over this city. Even taking a walk along certain parts of the Las Vegas Strip will open your eyes to the less glamorous Vegas.
